Joey never had a security item. He has stuffed animals that he has loved, but never really needed. Up until recently, neither did Andy. Well, except for his nuk which he gave to the Easter Bunny. So this is all new territory for me!
About a month ago, we went to the zoo. The boys were very good, so they each got a stuffed animal. Joey had been wanting the Red Panda he saw since he took the Zoo class about them, and so Andy needed one too. He has always really loved Wolves; it was actually one of his first hard words. So enter Wolfie into our lives.
Well, Wolfie now goes everywhere. He is a well traveled little guy! He usually stays in the car, though. Wolfie MUST be in Andy's hands when he sleeps. When Andy is sad, Wolfie makes him better. We discovered a hole in Wolfie's back. It took a week to find a time when he could be sewn up. Yup, my son has found a security item!
